Obituary of Crystol A. Berry

CRYSTOL A. BERRY, 92, died October 30th at Eastside Living Center in Bangor. Born in Brooks Village to Inez Arline (Estes) and Earle M. Roberts on August 28, 1917. Crystol graduated from Morse Memorial High School in Brooks. She went on to a brief modeling career in New York City. She married Raymond “Red” Berry in 1942 and as many wives did during WWII, worked on assembly lines for Colt and for Vought Sikosky in Waterbury Connecticut. She and Red settled in the Waterville/Oakland area where she lived alone after his death in 1986. Crystol was enjoyed for her sense of humor and good nature during her few years at Eastside Living Center. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Dale and Eugene Roberts and is survived by a sister, Barbara Flood, several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 13th at 12 noon at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
