Obituary of Anna Rogers

ANNA (BETTY) ROGERS passed away at age 81 on November 4, 2009. Betty was born January 10, 1928 in Lincoln, Maine the daughter of Guy and Estella Connors. Betty was the wife of Fred E. Rogers who passed away in 1963. She is survived by her son, Scott G. Rogers and his wife Vicki of Unity; three grandchildren, Fred Rogers of Unity, Sarah Faatz and her husband Justin of Westbrook, and Cedric Rogers of Unity; one great-grandson, Joshua Faatz. She is also survived by her brother, Dan Connors and his wife, Patricia of Sebec, two nephews, Danny Connors and Dwayne Connors and their families. Betty graduated from Farmington State Teachers College with a B.A. in Education in 1950. She later received her M.A. in Education from the University of Maine at Orono. She taught home economics in Mechanic Falls, Monticello, NY and for 20 years at Mt. View High School in Thorndike. Betty was a member of MEA and MAR. At her request no funeral service will be held.
