Obituary of Tiffany L. Cairo-Freeman

Please share a memory of Tiffany to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tiffany L. Cairo-Freeman completed the circle of life on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 3:04 pm at the Maine Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 6, 1982 at 4:03 am in Fairfield, CA at the David Grant Memorial Hospital. She grew up in Kittery, Maine where she graduated from Traip Academy in 2000. She is survived by her mother and step-father Nathalie and Joe Leclair, her brothers Michael and Nathan Cairo, her husband Jasper Freeman, her father Larry Cairo and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfather Reverend Milton Smith Sr. We remember: Tiffany’s journey with Cystic Fibrosis was a difficult one, but one she faced with grace. All who knew her were inspired by her strength and courage. She was blessed to have made many friends, among them were her caregivers at Maine Medical Center and she considered them part of her “family”. It was Tiffany’s wish that her lungs be donated to Cystic Fibrosis research in an effort to promote a better understanding of the disease and hopefully one day a cure. She loved rainbows, Tweety Bird, Tinkerbell and Science Fiction novels. She enjoyed celebrating her 28th birthday with family and friends at the surprise party given by her mother this year. She was so proud of her brothers and two of her happiest moments were when her brother Nathan graduated from college, and when Michael was advanced to Gunny. Her smile and positive outlook on life, despite its challenges, lifted up those around her. Tiffany will be missed, but the light that she brought to this world will shine always. There will be a celebration of Tiffany’s life on Sunday, March 7th, at noon. It will be held at the Eloit Methodist Church, which is located on RT 236 in Eloit Maine. It was Tiffany’s desire to establish a Library for her fellow Cystic Fibrosis patients at the Maine Medical Center. Therefore, instead of sending flowers, please send a donation to the Memorial Fund for Tiffany Cairo-Freeman at Ocean Bank, located at 17 Walker Street, Kittery, Maine 03904. The family would appreciate any help to make her dream and desire come true.prove to us, He only takes the best..... Auntie, I admire your strengthen and your determination to keep Tiff alive for 28 years. You are the true definition of a Hero. I am here for you always. I love you!!
