Obituary of Kevin Michael Holt

Kevin Michael Holt, 54, of Madison, peacefully passed away in the early evening of April 30, 2010 at his residence in Madison, after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was born in Skowhegan, the son of Ralph and Sandra Holt, on May 29, 1955, and was a lifelong resident of Madison. Kevin received his education in the Madison school district. Kevin was predeceased by his father Ralph Holt of Madison, and his grandparents Walter and Shirley LeBreton of Madison; both of whom he was particularly close to. He was also predeceased by his brother Timothy Holt of Madison, and two nephews; Ralph Holt III and Zachariah Holt of Cornville. He is survived by his mother, Sandra Holt of Madison, as well as his sister Eva Sargent and her husband, Mark of Cincinnati, OH; his brother Ralph Holt Jr. of Cornville; his sister Cheryl Connolly and her husband, Jack of Anson; his brother Brian Holt and his wife, Doreen of Madison; his sister Tamara Quimby and her husband, Thomas of East Madison; his brother Darrell Holt of Madison; his brother Stephen Holt and his wife, Sandy of Madison; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Laurelee and Ronald Currier of Skowhegan; as well as several great-aunts, great-uncles, and many friends. Kevin especially enjoyed spending time in the woods and loved to fish. Possessing a kind and gentle nature; he held a particular love for animals and throughout his lifetime, had several pets which he cared for with a level of caring and protectiveness that a parent would a child. Kevin’s other hobbies and interests included amateur photography, mechanics, and an extensive collection of movies. A man with a wonderful sense of humor, a creative and curious mind, and a kind and compassionate nature; Kevin will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.
