Obituary of Randall W. McCauley

RANDALL W. McCAULEY, 33 of Belmont, passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2010 at his residence. He was born October 18, 1976 in Belfast, the son of Scott W. Sobey, Sr. and Nadine McCauley. Randy was an excellent carpenter and mechanic who enjoyed the outdoors, animals and helping other people out by lending a hand. He loved to barbecue, and he was a devoted husband and step-father. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather; his paternal grandparents; his father Scott Sobey Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, April McCauley of Belmont; his step-children, Christian and Philip Watkins of Belmont; his mother, Nadine McCauley and partner Scott Brown of Morrill; his step-father Randy Poland of Alabama; maternal grandmother Lucille McCleary and husband Earl of Belmont; his siblings, Scott Sobey II of Tennessee, and Melissa Sobey and partner Dale Fuller of Frankfort; mothers-in-law, Cornelia Barbour of Belfast and Mary Ellen Gallant and husband Arnie of Portland; father-in-law James Begley of Florida; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as extended family. A memorial gathering will be held in Randy’s memory on Saturday, June 12th starting at 1 p.m. at Nadine McCauley and Scott Brown’s home, 68 North Main Street, Morrill, Maine 04952.
