Obituary of Robert Leon MacFarlane
CHELSEA
Robert Leon MacFarlane, 54, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 6th at his home in Chelsea. He was born in Augusta, Maine on June 4,1956, the son of William and Ruth MacFarlane. He attended Augusta schools and served in the United States Air Force. Over the years he lived and worked in the Augusta and Portland areas. He became ill several years ago and moved back to the Augusta area to be closer to family.
Bob was quick-witted, passionate and creative. He loved to write and take pictures of friends and family. He worked at keeping in touch with family and friends no matter how far away.
Bob was predeceased by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by six brothers, Peter MacFarlane of Lewiston; William MacFarlane of Augusta; Graham MacFarlane of Sabattus; Jon MacFarlane and wife Cheryl of Waldoboro; Harvard MacFarlane and Partner Pierre Morneault of Portland; and Dale Pushard of Strong; three sisters, Donna Dickinson and husband Sam of St. Cloud, FL; Dorothy Soule Kirk and husband David of Augusta; and Deborah Hustus and husband Lance of Pittston. He is also survived by numerous friends and family, his adopted family, the Bellino's, in the Portland area, and his many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss their Uncle Bobby.
There will be no public visiting hours. A funeral service will be held at the Gardiner First Church of the Nazarene, 6 Nazarene Way(Rt. 201), Gardiner, ME on Monday, July 12th, at 1pm.
