Obituary of Edward A. Button

EDWARD A BUTTON, SR., 78, passed away July 7, 2010 at his residence in Belfast. He was born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania on February 11, 1932, son of Alfred and Mary (Moyer) Clark. Ed came to Belfast in 1946 and worked at Waldo Shoe factory for over 25 years and Penobscot Frozen Foods for 13 years prior to retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Belfast Curling Club with his wife Georgie, loved to square dance, loved golfing and liked watching sports. He was predeceased by his parents and is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgie of Belfast; his children, Charles Button and girlfriend Brenda Foss of Lewiston, Edward Button Jr. and girlfriend Carol Pendleton of Belfast, Helen Button and boyfriend Randy Rhodes of Belfast; grandchildren Paul Button, Scott and Amanda Pendleton, Kyle Groover, Brandi Howard. Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.
