Obituary of James Jim Cook

JAMES “JIM” COOK, JR., 57, died August 6 at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT April 13, 1953, the son of James and Stephanie (Taradajna) Cook Sr. His work included construction, raising pigs, milking cows, cleaning chicken barns and junking. He was an avid farmer and gardener. He loved spending time with his family and friends, having pig roasts and helping others. Jim was someone who always put others before himself. He will be missed by his many family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister Karen; a brother Paul Pombriante and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marylou Cook; his sons, James Cook III and partner Sarah; Jason Cook and wife Jessica, Justin Cook and wife April; a grandson James H. Cook IV; a granddaughter Samantha; his siblings, Patricia Saunders and husband Lewis of CT, Sharlene Jones and husband Rodney of CT, Frank Cook and Denise Corriview of W. VA; nieces and nephews, John, Courtney and Addison Matthews; Aaron Harakaly, Kaly Jones; Tyler, Sarah and Carlie Provencher; and his extended all of the Hustus family; his special friends Henry and Beverly Hartley, Dick Stevens, and Peter Roberts. Friends are invited to call at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14th with services at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
