Obituary of Marjorie Hall Walker

MARJORIE HALL WALKER, 82 of Belfast, died on August 9, 2010. She was born on December 16, 1927 in Belfast to Irving Hall and Inez Cushman Hall. She was a resident of Harbor Hill Nursing Home in Belfast for the past five years. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold; her brothers, Wilfred, Milton and Charles Hall and her sister, Edith Walker. Margie graduated from Crosby High School in 1945 and worked several years for Crosby’s Garage in Belfast. She volunteered at Senior Spectrum and later attended the day care center there. She was a very kind and loving person, especially enjoying her family. She had a tremendous sense of humor and was very witty and lots of fun. She will be missed. She is survived by a step-daughter, Kathy Walker Lancaster; a step-grandson, Forrest Lancaster; a sister, Alice Piper of Auburn; four nieces, Linda Richardson and husband Charles of Benton, Marilyn Merrifield and husband Wayne of Belmont, Carol Gerrish and husband Donald of Belfast and Julie Montminy and husband Michael of Waldo; six nephews, Charles Hall Jr. and wife Bonnie of Deerfield, MA, Richard Hall and wife Joan of Leominster, MA, David Piper and wife Kathleen of Skaneateles, NY, Kenneth Piper and wife Susie of Vancouver, WA, Daniel Hall and wife Carol of Searsport and Stephen Hall and wife Ann of Belfast; also sisters-in-law, Irene Riley and Mary Jackson, both of Belfast. She has several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast on Monday, August 16th at 11 a.m. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association PO Box 1880, Merrifield, VA 22116-8002 or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6931 Arlington Rd, 2nd floor, Bethesda, MD 20814.
