Obituary of Richard G. LeSan
RICHARD G. LeSAN, 60, of Belfast passed away January 2, 2011 at a Boston hospital. He was born in Montville on February 4, 1950, the son of Arlene (Morse) LeSan. Richard was a 1969 graduate of Belfast Area High School. He drove a truck locally for Penobscot Poultry and Maplewood Poultry and State Sand and Gravel. He was also a bus driver for many years for RSU 20. He was a member of the Quantibacook Masonic Lodge and Anah Temple Shrine. Richard could be found regularly having a coffee and enjoying conversation at Belfast Variety. He loved people in general and was always helping with the public suppers, raffles and fund-raising for scholarships.
He was predeceased by his mother; a brother, Albert in 2006, and a niece, Wendy Dodge. Richard is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rickie LeSan, his daughter, Christine LeSan and granddaughter Maya Cunningham, all of Belfast; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 6th. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 7th at First Church in Belfast. Spring interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville. On-line condolences may be offered at www.ripostafh.
