Obituary of Gordon D. Warman

GORDON D. WARMAN, SR., 66, passed away February 27, 2011 at his residence in Searsport. He was born on September 23, 1944 in Greenville, Maine, the son of Clifford G. Warman Sr. and Norma L. (Linscott) Warman. Gordon worked at Young’s Shellfish, Jordan’s, Penobscot and Maplewood Poultry, Squaw Mountain Ski Area during its construction and most recently Th’ Barn. Gordon enjoyed Bingo, fishing, camping and loved to play the guitar. He was also a member of the Tarratine Tribe. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Virginia Dowdy Warman, two brothers, Fred and Cecil Warman and niece Norma Damon-Runci. Gordon is survived by his children, Carrie Warman of Portland, Gordon Warman Jr. of Maine, Michael Warman and wife Kim of Rome, Frank Brown and wife Michelle of Belfast, and Heidi Malo of Searsport; his step-children, Jenny-Lee Shaw, Andy St. Peter, and Pam Sewitsky; his siblings, Joyce Macomber and husband Ronald, Clifford “Kelly” Warman Jr. and wife Irene, all of Greenville; Gloria Emery and Glenda Brown of Swanville, Anita Bragdon of Belfast, June Sullivan and husband William of Swanville, Steve Warman and wife Faye of Belfast; thirteen grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 4th at 12 p.m. at the Redman Hall in Belfast. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
