Doris A. McNaughton, 84, Enjoyed Baking and BINGO
Doris A. (Moulton) McNaughton, age 84, passed away on February 28, 2011 in Brunswick, Maine after a brief illness. Doris was the daughter of the late Elmer Moulton and Marion Moulton. She was predeceased by her brothers Archie Moulton and Garald Moulton. She was previously married to the late Ralph P. McNaughton, and was the mother of the late Keith D. McNaughton.
Born and raised in Lynn, Doris lived in Maine for over 30 years prior to her death. Doris enjoyed dancing, bingo, gardening and cooking. She entered many of her plants and original recipes in local fairs, often winning awards. Before moving to Maine she was active at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Lynn. She was devoted to her family, never forgetting to send a card and a small token for every birthday and holiday. Prior to her death she was a resident of Amenity Manor nursing home in Topsham, ME where she had many friends among the staff and other residents.
Doris is survived by her companion David "Al" Rugar of Harpswell, Maine, her sons, Paul P. McNaughton, Sr. and his wife Elaine of Swampscott, and Alvah J. McNaughton of Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joy Elizabeth McNaughton of Lynn and Paul P. McNaughton, Jr of Hawaii, and great grandchildren, Bonnie Jeanne Campbell and her husband Michael, and Kayla Jeanne McNaughton, of Lynn, Patrick J. McNaughton and Paul P. McNaughton, III of Florida, and Ethan Perry of Hawaii, and her two great-great grandchildren, Kyleigh Campbell and Alyssa Campbell of Lynn. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service is being planned.
