Obituary of Sherman M. Vincent

SHERMAN M. VINCENT JR., 63, passed away March 9, 2011 at Togus. He was born in Syracuse, NY March 5, 1948, son of Sherman Vincent Sr. and Juanita (Lavender) Vincent. Sherman served in the U.S. Navy and worked construction during his life. He loved to travel and was an avid Patriots fan. He was predeceased by his father; sister Diane Boycheck; brothers, David and Paul Vincent. Sherman is survived by his mother, Juanita Vincent of NY; his wife of 10 years, Alice Vincent of Augusta; his children, Josh Vincent and wife Jessica of Windham, Rebecca Adams of Waterville, Leslie Plummer and wife Jamie, Matthew Vincent and wife April, all of Augusta, Elena Vincent of Vassalboro; sisters, Bettylou Kelsey of AZ, Kathy Wells, Laura Vanderstelt, Sharon Lavender, J. Gail Hoyt, all of New York; sister-in-law Hope Plummer of Whitefield; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24th at Family Worship Center, 2580 N. Belfast Road in Augusta with Pastor Kevin McAllister officiating.
