Obituary of Anneliese Francis
Anneliese Francis passed away April 16, 2011. She was known to her friends and family for her indomitable spirit and for her zest for life. Born in London, England and having lived her childhood in places as varied as Belgium, Labrador, Newfoundland, and North Dakota, she developed a love for travel that inspired her to eventually drive trucks solo throughout the country.
As a friend recently said of her, “For those who did not know her - she was an amazing woman: inspirational, ridiculously intelligent, hilarious, strong-willed, loving, compassionate, giving, outspoken in a good and bold way. She adored animals and gardening. Her love for Matthew and Wade was absolutely glorious to witness and hear. The list is never-ending of her qualities and contributions.”
Anneliese is survived by her son, Matthew, her husband, Wade Frecker, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as her dear friends of many years, Laura Bower and Janice Kelly, among others. The example that she set will guide those of us who knew her as we go on with her in our hearts.
As was Anneliese's wish, arrangements are being made for friends and family to gather for good food and drinks to honor her memory. Those interested can contact Wade Frecker at wade_frecker@yahoo.com for more information. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. On-line condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
