Obituary of Alcide O. Bouchard
ALCIDE O. BOUCHARD, JR, 66, died April 30, 2011, at his residence in Portage Lake, Maine. He was born October 11, 1944 in Portland, Maine, the 7th and youngest son of Alcide and Marie (Levesque) Bouchard Sr.
“Coon” was predeceased by both parents, brothers Robert, Norman and Claude; and a grandson Chase Pinkham. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Laura (Howes) Bouchard, his daughter Shelly M. Bouchard Bolstridge and her husband David of Portage Lake, his son Robert A. Bouchard & family of West Paris, his step-son Daniel J. McDevitt of Manassas, VA and his step-daughter Christy A. McDevitt of Culpeper, VA. He is also survived by his 5 beloved grandchildren, Myles, Cassie, Briana, Andrew and Jordan.
After the death of his mother, he was raised by his aunt and uncle Delvina and Lesley Wakefield in Ashland, Maine, along with 6 cousins he was proud to call his brothers and sisters. He especially loved his two familes, often telling people he was the youngest of 14. He wanted his family and friends to laugh, joke and have a good time. He enjoyed traveling and was especially happy visiting family in Lewiston, ME, Newburgh, NY, Panama City, FL, Houston, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Bristol, CT, and of course the Cape!
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake church at Portage Lake, with hospitality immediately following the service.
