Obituary of Ruth Brown Whitcomb

RUTH BROWN WHITCOMB, 81 of Belfast, passed away on May 4th, 2011 in Belfast. She was born May 6, 1929 in Readfield, Maine, the daughter of Muneda and Clinton Vinton Brown. She was a grand Lady-of-the-Lake; a lover of the woods, the water, the birds and all critters large and small. The hummingbirds were special friends to her. Blessed is the woman who gave without any thought of receiving. Her memory will truly be a blessing in our lives. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Richard Whitcomb and her sister Muneda Brown. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Whitcomb of Maine, Howard Whitcomb and wife Debbie of New Jersey; Freddie Whitcomb and wife Carolyn of Montana; her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Megan and Vinton; nieces and nephews, Wayne and Pansy, Greg and Missy, Glen, Frank, Diane, Annemarie, Billy, Tammy, Tracy, and Donald Jr.; her brother and sister in law, Gerald and Gloria Whitcomb and her special friend Joyce; her life-long friends Louise, Viola, Shirlene and Frank.
