EVELYN BANKS, 90 of Belfast, passed away May 6, 2011 at Tall Pines in Belfast. She was born in Belfast on November 20, 1920, the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Gray) Walton. She worked as a stitcher at local shoe factories and made baby clothing. Evelyn loved crafts, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed camping with her husband, Richard. She was predeceased by her parents and a granddaughter, Anne. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 71 years, Richard Banks Sr. of Belfast; her children, Jeanne Downer and husband Clayton of Belfast, Richard Banks Jr. of Morrill and Ronald Banks and wife Sharon of Belfast; three grandchildren, Duane Downer, Kimberly Fitzjurls, Ronald Banks Jr.; four great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 8th at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Belfast.
