Obituary of Amy Louise Spencer

Amy Louise (Carter) Spencer died peacefully with her family around her on May 11, 2011. She was a life member of Arbutus Chapter #19, Order of the Eastern Star, where she held numerous offices including Secretary for over 20 years. She was a Past District Deputy Grand Matron of District #12 in 1960 & 1961, Past Grand Representative of Michigan in Maine and a past President of the Maine OES Secretary’s Association. She was an avid reader, love watching her birds and loved a good game of “pinochle”. Amy loved her children, grand children, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren dearly. Her friends and family will miss her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband George A. Spencer, a grandson and great grandson and survived by her children George “Albert” and Linda of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter Leona E. Billing and Pete of Palermo, ME, son Charles of Walter, OK and Nina G. of Knox, ME, daughter Esther L. Dam and Rex of Montville, ME, and son Ken Spencer and Wilma of Tabernacle, NJ; her grandchildren Leeann Mosley of Gardiner, ME , Wilson Spencer of New Hampshire, Kimberly Spencer of Fort Collins, CO, Mistayn Tibbett and Clayton of Thorndike, ME, Jessica A. Briggs and Daniel of Old Town, ME, Scott Spencer of Knox, ME and Wyatt Spencer and his fiancée of Beeville, TX; her great grandchildren, Heather Spencer, Kendra Layne, Sheriayn Spencer, Tatiyanna Spencer, Kayla Spencer, Manny Welch, Brandon Spencer, Ellyannah Rose, and Noah E. and great- great granddaughter DeYanna. Donations should be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held on May 19th at 11:00 am at the Liberty Baptist Church with a gathering at the Liberty Masonic Hall directly after.
