Obituary of David L. Beers
DAVID L. BEERS, 72, died June 2, 2011 following a courageous two-year battle with cancer. He was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on June 5, 1938 to Lloyd and Constance (Jenkins) Beers. David had a passion for cars, loved racing and once owned a race car. He liked fast toys. Everything was clean and shiny – even the wheels on his lawn mower. He had a vast knowledge of everything, particularly automotive and he was known as “the man with the details”. It was also said he was the “voice of reason” and will be remembered for his understanding spirit.
He was predeceased by both parents and is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gay Beers of Unity; four sons, Kevin Beers of Washington, DC, Randall Beers of Virginia, Brenton Beers of Florida and Jonathan Hudson of New Hampshire; a sister Norma Heid of California and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5th 11 a.m. at the Farmingdale Seventh Day Adventist Church with Wayne McFarland officiating. Friends are asked to make donations to Riverview Memorial School, 201 Mercer Road, Norridgewock, ME 04957. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
