She did greenhouse work for many years, was a nurse at Waldo County General Hospital, raked blueberries, worked at the Maplewood egg plant and for CB Manufacturing, both in Belmont. She was never an idle woman. She had a deep love for the State and the good people of Maine where she had lived since 1972. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John, and sons, Daniel of Belfast and William of Highland Mills, NY, grandchildren Catherine of Aptos, CA, Margaret of Philadelphia, PA, Richard of Howells, NY and Emily of Philadelphia, PA and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend, Tom Seymour and her beloved dog Annie. She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters, Marie Conklin, Jacoba Scialla, and Ann Warner and three brothers, Gerard, Peter and Marinus. There will be a celebration of her life held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to People for People, PO Box 1, Thorndike, ME 04986-0001. Arrangements under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
