LEE CARLO GOODINE SR., 79 of Bath, passed away July 2, 2011 at Togus. He was born in Brewer on April 9, 1932 to Andrew and Geneva (Philbrook) Goodine. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe. He ran track and was a light-weight boxer from 1952-1954. Lee was a volunteer for the Freeport Fire and Rescue and enjoyed coaching softball for the Yarmouth Women's League. He also coached for Freeport Little League and was a coach's assistant for girl's softball.
He was predeceased by both parents; his brothers, Andrew, Wellington, Louis and a sister Priscilla. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolann C. Goodine; his children, Victoria J. Bell, Leeann M. Decair, Rene M. Goodine, Priscilla R. Ferrante, Margaret J. Ricker, Lee C. Goodine Jr., Andrew A. Goodine; his siblings, Douglas Goodine, Vaughn Goodine, Dana Goodine, Conrad Goodine, Gordon Sawyer; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on July 15th at Bath Four-Square Gospel Church, Center Street, Bath. Those who wish may make donations in Lee's memory to Togus VA Medical Center, Attention Volunteer Services/Hospice, 1 VA Center, Augusta, ME 04330.
