Obituary of Hazel Peterson

HAZEL C. PETERSON, 74 of Northport, passed away in Portland on September 17, 2011. She was born July 11, 1937 in Hartford, Connecticut. Hazel was very talented at needlepoint and enjoyed putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed visiting the ocean and fishing with her husband Ron. They did everything together. I her earlier years she and her family enjoyed traveling to Maine and camping. They retired from Connecticut and moved to Maine 17 years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, John Gunther and Carolyn Buck and son-in-law Chris Boyle. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald "Ron" Peterson of Northport; her children, Donald Peterson of Colorado, her daughter, Rhonda Shaw and husband Kevin of Massachusetts, Michael Peterson and wife Pam of Belfast, son Ronald Peterson Jr. of Dalton, New Hampshire, and daughter Margaret Boyle of Rockville, Connecticut; one sister Emmie Young of Florida; grandchildren, Mike "Buddy", Becky, Jared, Vanessa, and several others.
