Obituary of Ruth D. Herrick

RUTH D. HERRICK, 84 of Northport, died November 6, 2011 at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Northport on May 30, 1927 the daughter of Oscar and Esther (Mahoney) Drinkwater. Ruth was a member of the Beach Chapter O.E.S. of Lincolnville, the Friendship Sample Quilters. She was a wonderful fabric artist who had many of her quilts on display. She was a long-time member of Northport Community Church. She loved her family, cooking and being a homemaker and mother. She was predeceased by her husband George and her brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son Charles Herrick and his wife Joan of Northport; several special nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her beloved dog, Bella. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 14th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast with private interment at Saturday Cove Cemetery.
