Obituary of Meddie Dion

Meddie Dion Jr., born Aug. 4, 1936, passed away on Nov. 26, 2011, at his home in Waterville with family. Junior went home to be with the Lord, his mother, Susie Bragdon Dion; father Meddie Dion; sister Barbra Tardiff; brother Donald Dion; and grandson Christopher Dion, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Junior is survived by his wife of 49 years, Agnes (Meunier) Dion; sister Mary Elliott and husband Leon of Augusta; sons Randy Dion and wife Christina of Waterville and Jeffrey Emery of Waterville; daughters Patricia Bickford and husband John of Fairfield, and Susan Dorrel and husband Michael of Oakland; grandchildren Eric, Jacob, Cassandra, Jacksie and Tabitha; great-grandchildren Daniel, Savannah, Rihanna, Cameron and Ayden. Junior will be sadly missed by all the Emery family, Bragdon family, Meunier family and Witham family. Junior was a member of the Elks Club of Waterville for 19 years, where he enjoyed playing cards and pool and socializing with friends. Junior had a passionate love of spending time with family, hunting, fishing, horse and dog races, and watching Red Sox and Patriots. Junior worked many years for Tilton Paving Co., Demelision and excavating with Carol Bragdon of North Vassalboro. We love you so much and a day will not go by without a memory. At Junior's request, there will be no funeral services. There will be a gathering for family and friends at the Elks Lodge in Waterville at 1 p.m. Sunday, then a graveside gathering at North Vassalboro Cemetery on Cemetery Street.
