Obituary of Matthew Doyle
Matthew "Matt" P. Doyle, 51, passed away on December 27, 2011 in Belfast. He was born on February 23, 1960 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Matt was a natural at fishing. He also enjoyed swimming, playing cards and gambling. He loved to travel with his wife Kathy, and spending time with family. Matt made friends wherever they went and will be missed by many. He had a smile for everyone and loved children. Matt was a member of the Tarratine Tribe #13 Redman and liked going down to Belfast Variety to get coffee throughout the day.
He was predeceased by his mother Eileen Glover, an uncle Matthew, and nephew Jacob. Matt is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Cathy Doyle of Belfast; his father Jack Glover; his children Matthew P. Doyle II, Mark Doyle, and their mother Tammy Anderson all of Texas, Harry Stevens of Rhode Island, Benjamin Bucklin of Belfast, and Carey Stevens of Rhode Island; fathers-in-law, William Stevens and Kenneth Curtis; his siblings, Debbie Ann Glover of Virginia, Colleen Ventura and husband Jesus of Arizona, David John Glover and wife Myra of Virginia, Michael Scott Glover and wife Angela also of Virginia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Laurel Murphy of Belfast, Anita Black of Ellsworth, Jeff Stevens and wife Kathy of Belfast, Greg Stevens of Belfast; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special nieces and nephews, Anita Murphy, Charles Murphy and Norah Belden and his long-haired Chihuahua, Rose.
Memorial service and benefit supper will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Redman Hall, Main Street in Belfast. Those who wish may make memorial contributions at the benefit supper. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
