Obituary of Raymond C. Talbot
RAYMOND C. TALBOT, 80, passed away peacefully April 6, 2012. He was born June 29, 1931 the son of Charles and Marie Talbot. He proudly served our country enlisting into the U.S. Air Force in 1950, working as a mechanic. When returning from Korea, he met and married Dorothy Harnish in 1956. Living in Madison, he worked at Madison Pulp and Paper. In 1976 he moved to Bangor and worked at Eastern Fine Paper until retiring in 1998. Ray enjoyed reading, watching his many movies and listening to his favorite music. He was very well known as a “jokester” to all who knew him. He also had a very kind heart.
He is predeceased by his parents and one sister, Lucy Hamel of Newburg. He is survived by one sister Cecile Esterbrook, his daughter, Jeanne Kingsbury and husband Brent; two grandsons Braden Kingsbury and his wife Rebecca, Bryant Kingsbury and fiancé Liz Souza; a very proud grandfather to Sierra Kingsbury, all of Oakland. He was an uncle to many nephews and nieces; special niece, Linda Creasy. He also left a very special coworker, Jeannie, another adopted daughter.
The family would like to thank all the caregivers throughout his hospital stays. In lieu of flowers, donations “with many thanks” may be made to Hospice Care Unit, Togus V.A. Center, 1 V.A. Center, Augusta, ME 04330. Burial will take place at Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
