Obituary of Rita N. Alley

RITA N. ALLEY, 75 of Knox passed away in Brewer on May 10, 2012. She was born in Belfast on March 16, 1937 to Philip and Eunice (Brock) Corey. She was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. She also enjoyed watching soap operas. Rita loved getting on her computer and researching details of her life and her family. She will be remembered for her generous, caring and thoughtful nature. She was predeceased by her parents; her sons Gary and Craig and a sister, Eleanor. Rita is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lewis Alley of Knox; her children Robin and Bill Johnson of MO, Brent Alley of Knox; her brothers, Stillman Corey, Leonard Corey, Dennis Corey, Walter Corey, Wendell Corey, Steven Corey, Jerry Corey; her grandchildren Lacey Lawson, Ashley Johnson; two great-grandsons, Caelen and Adyn Lawson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 31st with Rev. Matt Shaw officiating. Burial will be at East Knox Cemetery.
