Obituary of Jean Ballester
JEAN (JOSLYN) BALLESTER, 87 of Belfast, passed away on June 1, 2012. She was born in Presque Isle, Maine in 1924 and left Maine moving to Connecticut in 1955 with her family. Jean worked as a psychiatric nurse at Connecticut Valley Hospital for 20 years. Shortly after retiring, she moved to New Hampshire for a few years to help her daughter and family before returning to her home state of Maine. Jean was a loving and kind person who loved helping others and had many friends.
She is survived by one sister, Joan Sadler who lives in Memphis, Tennessee. She sadly leaves her son, Bob McElwain, daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Andy Erlick; five grandchildren, Matt, Aimee, Chrissy, Bobby, and Kelly; 11 great-grandchildren, Christian, Isaac, Brooklyn, Hunter, Amber, Lauren, Brandon, Shannon, Anna, Ethan and Megan; also two great-great-grandchildren. Jean was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will remain in our hearts forever.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7th at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Brewer, Maine. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in her memory to Waldo County Home Health and Hospice PO Box 407 Belfast, Me. 04915
