Obituary of Clarence F. Flagg

CLARENCE F. FLAGG JR., 84 of Belfast, passed away July 8, 2012 at Waldo County Hospital Hospice Unit. He was born on January 24, 1928 in Morrill, Maine, the son of Clarence and Mildred Flagg Sr. Clarence served in World War II Army Motor Pool. He worked as a mechanic and driver for several local businesses and started a logging business with his two sons. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and fishing on Penobscot Bay on “The Hilde”. Clarence was married to Julia (Ellis) Flagg for nearly 50 years. He is predeceased by his parents and his beloved wife. Clarence is survived by his three children, Loretta Winslow and husband David of Swanville; Brent Flagg of Dixmont; Kevin Flagg of Belfast; his grandchildren, Ambrosia Spann and husband Nicholas, Sarah Flagg and Jamie Flagg; great-grandchildren, Jacoby Todd Spann and Jameson Jon Spann. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11th at Smart Cemetery, Belfast with Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.
