Obituary of Larry E. Tripp

LARRY E. TRIPP, 68 of Searsport, passed away unexpectedly July 10, 2012 in Belfast. He was born in Frankfort on May 29, 1944 to Lloyd Tripp Sr. and Mariba (Lanphier) Tripp. Larry worked at the docks and then at Penobscot Poultry. His family was very important to him, spending time with his siblings and their families. He loved fishing, NASCAR, and watching the drag races at Winterport. One of his greatest enjoyments was going to the hunting camp in the fall where he hunted whatever was in season. He also enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and working in his vegetable and flower gardens. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Leroy and Dale Hustus, Eugene and Donald Tripp. Larry is survived by his brothers, Dean Hustus Sr. and wife Weldeena of Searsport, Lloyd Tripp Jr. and wife Sheryl of Belfast, Dennis Tripp Sr. of Searsport; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his hunting buddy Lewis Riley and friend Chris Coad. Family and friends are invited to call from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, July 16th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
