Obituary of Elizabeth Hall Lane

Elizabeth May Davis Hall Lane, 99 of Belfast, passed away July 28, 2012 in Belfast. She was born May 18, 1913 in Dover-Foxcroft to Manley Davis and Blanche Etta (Atwood) Davis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, serving as deacon for three years. She worked at Bradbury Nursing Home for 17 ½ years as a CNA and at Deborah Lincoln House for seven years as a matron. She was a member of Rebekah Knyvetta Lodge #125 of Searsport and Associate Member of Rebekah Aurora Lodge #10 in Belfast. She was a resident of Deborah Lincoln House until becoming a patient at Tall Pines Healthcare Facilities – Assisted Living. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leslie Hall in 1995; her second husband, Manley Lane in 1987; her sisters, Faye Mithee, Flora Bell Millett, Pearl Butler, Dora Hight, Lillian Kirk; her brothers, Ivan Davis, Manley Atwood Davis, Howard Davis, Isaiah Davis, Sr., Charles Davis, Leon Davis, Carl Davis; also her infant daughter, Lois Elizabeth Hall, in 1941. Survivors include her children, Etta Hall Bryant and husband, Michael of Tucson, Arizona, Wayne Hall and wife, Nancy of Colchester, Vermont; Allen Hall and wife, Lucille of Anderson, South Carolina, Ramona Hall Titus and husband, Jeffrey of Poland, Maine; grandchildren, David Hall, Kristin Hall, Kimberly Hall, Bethany Hall Lagrange and husband Ben, Bryce Hall, MaryAnn Young Lopes and husband Joe; great grandchildren, Lucas and Ansley Lagrange, Joseph Lopes and Kathleen Lopes; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was a devoted mother who loved doing things for others her entire life. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 13th at Grove Cemetery, Belfast. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Waldo County Home Healthcare Service, Hospice Program, PO Box 407, Belfast, ME 04915.
