Obituary of Donald S. Patten
DONALD S. PATTEN, 87 of Northport, died on September 22, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by his family. He was born July 31, 1925, son of Donald Irving and Alice (Miller) Patten. He served in the Navy Sea Bees and upon leaving the service, became an auto body mechanic for many years. He loved his family and friends. He loved to dance, sing, roller skate and water ski. His favorite pastime was junking metal.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jeanne Bonin Patten; his children and grandchildren, daughter, Cindy Lewis and her husband John and their son Josh, all of Northport; son, Donald Patten and wife Kim and their son, Donald, all of Belfast; son Timothy Patten and his wife Terry of Northport and his son Tim Jr. of Morrill; daughter Bonnie Patten and her daughter Jane Littlefield of Northport; daughter Heidi Gray and her husband Bill of Stockton Springs and their daughter Kendra Kalis of Highlands, NC; eight brothers and sisters, Norma, Shirline, Wayne, John, Keith, Mona, Sandra and Dwight; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; six brothers and two sisters ,Richard, Allen, Peter, Wylie, Roger, Howard, Marjorie and Betty.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 27th at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast. Burial will be at Beech Ridge Cemetery in Northport.
