Obituary of James Andrew Ingraham
AUGUSTA -- James Andrew Ingraham died Sept. 26 at Togus VA hospital. Jim was born June 7, 1930, in Berlin, N.H., to Elmer H and Harriette F. Ingraham.
Jim graduated from Bingham High School at the age of 17. He then enlisted in the Army, serving first in the British West Indies and then in Korea. Upon his discharge from the Army, Jim enrolled in Hussen College in Bangor and was on the deans list for two years. He then studied on his own and passed the CPA exam.
Jim was predeceased by his father; mother; his brother, Robert; and his brother John. He is survived by his sister, Althea Ingraham, of Gardiner; his niece, Pamela Dube, of Sante Fe, N.M.; and nephews Chuck Webber and wife Kelly, of Waterville, and Chip Webber and wife Louise, of Jefferson.
Jim will be interred at at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at the new Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. A graveside service with military honors will be held at that time. Family and friends are welcome to attend
