Obituary of Raymond E. Tucker
NORTHPORT-Raymond E. Tucker Sr. passed away on September 28, 2012 at a Portland hospital after a period of declining health. He was born to Edward M. Tucker and June A. (Hodgdon) Tucker/Bailey on July 8, 1946. Raymond served in the Army and toured in Vietnam from 1963 to 1966. He also served as the Constable and Animal Control Officer for the Town of Northport for many years.
He is survived by his sisters, Joanne and her husband James; Linda; half-sisters Emma and Ilene, a step-brother and long-time friend, Bob Bailey. He leaves behind his children, Raymond and his wife Jeanine; Tina, Jerry, Tonya, Nicholas and his wife EunJi. Raymond’s greatest accomplishment was his eight grandchildren, Felicia, Dakota, Devin, Cherokee, Jessica, Dustin, Olivia and Haylee. His happiest days were those that he was able to share with them.
Raymond also leaves behind special friends, Pete Bixler, Norman White and many others that he would often meet at the Hideaway.
Per Raymond’s wishes there will not be a service at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
