Obituary of Andrew Wayne Letourneau
Andrew Wayne Letourneau of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly near his home on Saturday, October 27, 2012. He was born on February 21, 1976, the beloved son of Jules and Gaile (Bickford) Letourneau of Fairfield.
Left to honor Andy and remember his love are his life’s partner, wife Rachel (Lessor) Letourneau and their two beautiful daughters, Rebekah and Elizabeth; his parents, Jules and Gaile Letourneau; his in-laws, Albert and Natalie Lessor; Grandmother, Loretta Bickford; his brothers and their wives, David (Lisa) Letourneau, Michael (Deborah) Letourneau, Gregory (Cristen) Letourneau, Stephen (Lisa) Letourneau and Richard (Shannon Savage) Letourneau; dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and a large network of extended family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
Andy is a 1994 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received an Associates Degree from SMCC and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Conservation Law Enforcement from Unity College. He was employed by Olver Associates Inc. as a Senior Designer.
A devoted and faithful Christian, Andy and his family are active members of Calvary Chapel in Belfast. Those who knew Andy found that he preached the Gospels through his actions and daily life’s interactions. A principled man, at the core of his being rested his love for his Creator, his wife and two precious daughters. They all enjoyed living and loving each other through a variety of family activities both in and outside their home. He thoroughly enjoyed cooking (especially his famous wings), playing games with his children and spending time with Rachel.
A Master Maine Guide, Andy loved the outdoors and was a fishing and hunting enthusiast. Whether it was deer hunting with his father and father-in-law close at home; duck hunting with friends or his annual ice fishing trip to Matagammon Lake with his brothers, Andy was always at peace and in his element just being outdoors with loved ones.
Andy will be fondly remembered for his genuine kindness, courteous nature and terrific sense of humor. A soft spoken, humble man with strong convictions, Andy took his role as a father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend as a responsibility from God and truly demonstrated the role of Faithful Servant he felt called to be. He was an outstanding role model for anyone that was fortunate to have known him and he will be sadly missed but celebrated by all as a true man of God.
Family and friends are invited to a time of Visitation 5-8 pm Thursday November 1, 2012 at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast where a Funeral Service and Celebration of Andy’s life will be held at 1 pm Friday November 2, 2012 officiated by Pastor Storm Gould.
