Obituary of Dale F Edgecomb
Dale Francis Edgecomb, 63, of Appleton went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2012 in Greenville. He was born October 23, 1949 in Liberty.
Dale served in the US Army. He and his wife owned and operated The Me & D Store in Burketville for 14 years. He also worked as a carpenter building his house, store, and camps. Always lending a helping hand with others projects. Dale enjoyed his camp on Ragged lake and visiting his neighbors David and Patt Dunn, Sam, Houston, Paul, and Steve. Having every one "come up to camp" was something he enjoyed immensely.
He also enjoyed playing Texas Holdem' and Hi card, he was always the lucky one. Most of all Dale enjoyed spending time with his family and friends visiting them all when they stopped at the house.
Dale is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marie Edgecomb, his three children: Lisa Light, Beth Mitchell, Dane Edgecomb and his wife Joyce; his grandchildren: Randy Edgecomb, Andy Edgecomb, Michael Light, Nicholas Light, Taylor Light Surek, and Clay Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Cody Edgecomb and Chase Edgecomb; He also will be missed by his siblings: Charlie Edgecomb and his wife Sandra, Bunk Edgecomb and his wife Nancy, Paula Adams and her husband Charlie, Laura Weeks and her companion Jack Smith, Priscilla Cash and her husband Denis, in laws Linda Gibson, Spencer Turner and his wife Vickie, Jill Pease and her husband Daniel, mother in law Edwina Foster and father in law Ronald Turner; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 10-11 am Sunday December 23, 2012 at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Ave. Belfast, ME where a funeral service will be held at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hunts Cemetery in Liberty. Then a gathering at St.Clair's Community Building also in Liberty.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the the Liberty Food Pantry.
