Obituary of John Pat Faulkingham

John "Pat" Faulkingham, 92 of Belfast passed away Saturday January 5, 2013 at Waldo County General Hospital. He was born May 12, 1920 in Waldo the son of the late George and Agnes (O'Donnell) Faulkingham. Pat serrved in the US Army for five years. He and his sons were the founders of Faulkingham Incorporated here in Belfast where he continued to work with his family right up until he retired. Pat was the last surviving original player of the Belfast Merchants and was an avid New England Sports fan. He enjoyed many trips with "The Boys" playing cards throughout Maine. Pat also enjoyed gardening and in his younger years raced stock cars. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley (Clark) Faulkingham. His son John Faulkingham Jr. and his wife Pamela, his daughter Barbara Lawrence and her husband Ellsworth, his daughter Cynthia Nelson and his daughter in law Janine Faulkingham Laveway and her husband Peter. His Grandchildren, Tom Sawyer Jr., Keith Curtis, Tony Faulkingham and his wife Hidie, James Lawrence, Jessica LeBlanc and her husband Garrett, Lindsey Faulkingham and Kasey Laveway. His great grandchildren, Kelci and Kayci Faulkingham, Matthew LeBlanc and Griffin and Chaini Curtis. He is also survived by 2 nephews and 1 niece as well as many friends and extended family. Pat was previously deceased by his son Michael K. Faulkingham, one brother and two sisters. A funeral Service will be held 11 am Tuesday January 8, 2013 at Riposta Funeral Home 182 Waldo Avenue Belfast, ME 04915. Committal will be held in the spring.
