Obituary of Robert M. Nickerson
Belfast — Robert M. Nickerson, 67 of Belfast, passed away Feb. 8, 2013, at his residence in Belfast. He was born Jan. 27, 1946, in Belfast, the son of Merle and Glenice (Sprague) Nickerson. He was a veteran of the Army, having served in the Vietnam era. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He will be remembered for his ability to fix anything and was known as a jack of all trades. Robert also loved family get-togethers, especially time with his sister, Alice.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Stillman Nickerson; sisters Lois Calkins and Norma Dupont. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ann Nickerson of Belfast; his children, Michelle Major and husband Richard of Mattawamkeag, Nathan Nickerson of Lewiston, Jessi Stein and fiancé Abraham of Lisbon Falls, Chad Penney and fiancé Mary of Belfast, Samantha Larrabee and husband Gene of Belfast; his siblings, Alice Moore, Patricia Marshall and husband Dwight, all of Belfast; his grandchildren, Saje, Cayden, Autumn, Iesiah, Joseph, Bella, Lucus; and great-granddaughter Sophia; special nephew Rodney and niece Jennifer, and special niece Joanne Carter and husband Mark and children Henry and Ryan; several other nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his dog, Sebastian, and cat, Tobey.
