Obituary of Phyllis M. Barnes
LIBERTY/BELFAST
PHYLLIS M. BARNES, 93, passed away February 10, 2013 at Harbor Hill. She was born July 29, 1919 in Colmar, PA, the daughter of Jacob and Mary (Woodroffe) Sigafoos. Phyllis was a member of Liberty Baptist Church where she played the piano for 30 years. She was very involved in various ministries including teaching Sunday School and volunteering in the food pantry. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, embroidery, knitting and was an avid reader. She loved children and spent many years substitute teaching and volunteering at Walker school in Liberty and at the Palermo school.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Arthur Barnes; a brother Jacob Harvey Sigafoos; two sisters Catharine M. Connor and Elizabeth M. Capriotti. Phyllis is survived by her daughter Phyllis Albert and husband Earle of Liberty; her grandchildren, Catharine and Andrew Cloutier, Sergei and Vadim Albert; one niece; five nephews and special friends, Toni and Jesse Clark.
