Obituary of Jean A. Cunningham
JEAN A. (CLARK) CUNNINGHAM, 85 of Liberty, died February 11, 2013 in Belfast. She was born in Belfast on January 29, 1928, the daughter of Lawrence and Janet (Leeman) Clark. She was an active member of South Liberty Baptist Church. Jean ran a dairy farm for over 20 years with her husband, Berkley, then worked in accounting for the State of Maine until she retired. She enjoyed spending time at her camp at Lake St. George, and taking cruises. She loved working in her flower garden. She loved her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was passionate in her care for all the animals in her life. The birds in Liberty are well-fed due to her care which her family will continue.
She was predeceased by her husband Berkley in 1985; and her special niece Elaine. Jean is survived by her nephews, Wayne Jackson and Janice of Morrill; Glenn Jackson of West Searsmont; and Dean Jackson and his wife Nancy of Morrill; her sister, Ruth Jackson and husband Albert also of Morrill; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; 13 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 16th at South Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Colburn officiating. A time of fellowship will follow at the church. Spring interment will be at Maine Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
