Obituary of Lola Jean Chickering

Lola Jean (Connors) Chickering, 58 of Owls Head, passed away on February 15, 2013. She was born on May 2, 1954 in Camden, the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (Chapman) Connors. She graduated from Camden High School in 1972. Lola then spent many years working locally in customer service. Her customers remember her for always greeting them with a smile. She was known for her love of animals, whether it be watching the birds in her feeders or caring deeply for her many pets. Lola is predeceased by both of her parents; her brothers Cecil Connors, Daryl Small, Donald Small. Survivors include her long time partner Paul Salo; her son Craig Brown & wife Amy of Unity, son Chris Brown of Augusta, daughter Stacy Brown of Rockland, daughter Laura Brown of Ellsworth, and son Daniel Salo of Owls Head; her Siblings David Connors of Searsport, Tommy Connors of Portland & Laura Billings of Warren; and her 15 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren, as well as by her best friend of 45 years Cindy Bryant & a treasured family friend Sumner Swett. A celebration of Lola’s life will be held Saturday March 9th from 1-4 pm at 31 New County Rd in Rockland Maine. Friends and family are welcome to join us celebrating, sharing stories & memories.
