Obituary of Charles Benjamin Rimm
CHARLES BENJAMIN RIMM, 82, passed away on Friday, April 5 at his residence in Searsmont surrounded by family. He was born on August 18, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, NY, the son of Benjamin Joseph and Mabel Edna (Whiteley) Rimm. Charles served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954 at the rank of Corporal. He was married May 26, 1957 to Virginia Mary Kelly. He established Monroe Sheet Metal and developed and manufactured the Katahdin wood furnace. Charles was a quiet man, proud of his military service, honorable and deeply devoted to his family. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia Mary Rimm; his loving children Catherine Rimm of Costa Mesa, CA, Kenneth Rimm and wife Julie of Warner, NH, Suzanne Boguslawski and her husband Walter of Belfast, Michael Rimm and wife Diane of Eddington, ME, Edward Rimm and wife Tammy of concord, NH, Nancy Staples and husband Scott of Stockton springs and Jeanne Rimm of Frankfort, ME; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and special friend, Robert Cyr of Bangor; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert Joseph and Marie Therese Rimm of Palmetto, Florida and their family.
A memorial service will be held at Searsmont United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 20th at 2 p .m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Searsmont United Methodist Church PO Box 33.
