Obituary of Elizabeth A. Perry
ELIZABETH ANNIE (WHEELER) PERRY, 95, passed away quietly April 7, 2013 at Waldo County Hospital following a devastating stroke. Born in Cambridge, Maine to Katherine and Omar Wheeler, Elizabeth was a long-time resident of Waterville before moving to Harbor Hill in Belfast. Elizabeth was known as a selfless, kind, strong, independent woman of quiet demeanor and old time wisdom. Elizabeth loved reading, beano and time with family. Elizabeth left school at a very young age to help raise her three brothers and three sisters on the farm, then continued on to raise four children of her own.
She was predeceased by all her siblings, her husband Fred Perry, three of her children, Rita Mae Wheeler, Roger Perry and Janet Paquet. Elizabeth is survived by her son Eugene Perry of Belfast; grandsons Richard Perry of East Vassalboro, Joseph Perry of Belfast and Shonn Perry of Oakland. Elizabeth also leaves behind many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, loved ones and a multitude of friends. Elizabeth will be fondly remembered as a woman who loved without limits, sacrificed without thought of herself and as a true lady.
Family and friends are invited to call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 11 at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Friday, April 12. Spring burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland.
