Obituary of Leroy L. Bean

LEROY L. BEAN, 85 of Searsport, died April 15, 2013 at Belfast. He was born March 28, 1928 in Bath, Maine, a son of Melvin and Lilllian (Wade) Bean. He worked for over 33 years for Delta Chemical in Searsport. Leroy loved gardening and enjoyed selling his produce and giving a lot away as well. He also enjoyed taking family camping trips with the kids, sawdust dancing in his early years and deep sea fishing. He was predeceased by his wife Sandra and a brother Albert. Survivors include his children, Gregory L. Bean of Brooks, Cassandra Bean of Alfred, Sue Bean of Rhode Island, Donna Kenney of Belmont, Melvin Bean and Ralph Bean, both of Searsport; seven grandchildren, Shawn, Greg, Melvin, Christopher, Shaina, Austin and Devon; his brother Martin and sisters, Ruth and Jeanne. Family and friends are invited to call at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday.
