Obituary of Margaret Elaine Lease

Margaret Elaine Lease Born June 24, 1948 in Crookston, Minnesota, the 10th child of Henry Joseph Lease and Blenda Otelia Lundeen Lease. Baptized May 1, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Parsonage in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota Preceded in death by parents Henry Joseph and Blendia Otelia (Lundeen); five brothers Roger Duane, David Carl, Robert James, Richard Jerome and Larry LaVerne. She is survived by four sisters, Joyce Ann Holt of MN, Diane Carol Lease of TX, Mary Lorraine Johnson of MN, and Karen Marie Lease of Australia; two brothers Darrell John Lease of CO and Kenneth Eugene Lease of MN. Margaret was married to Craig Matthew Hebert from Portland, Maine 1974-86. She is survived by her only daughter, Jessica DesChene Lease Hebert, born June 2, 1980. Graduated from Goodridge High School, Goodridge, Minnesota 1966 and attended University of Minnesota 1970; received her Bachelor’s of Arts Interdisciplinary Studies University of Maine and Certified Activities’ Coordinator for State of Maine. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide in Minneapolis; a small parts inspector at Corco Precision Products in Minneapolis; and worked as a secretary for 10 years in Portland before retiring. She volunteered her time at Very Special Arts in Portland, Maine; Preble Street Resource in Portland, Maine, the Soup Kitchen and Clothes Closet, New Years Portland and Viles Arboretum in Augusta, Maine. She served in the US Navy from 1971-74 during the Vietnam Era as a Dental Technician; stationed during boot camp at Bainbridge, MD She attended Dental Technical School in San Diego, CA; stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station in Brunswick, Maine and was Honorably Discharged. Margaret enjoyed reading, art, history, gardening, cooking, yoga, tai chi, and traveling to Europe and the Caribbean at least once a year. She loved her pets, Muffaletta her Greyhound dog, 3 cats - Vincensia, Smokey and Sasha. In lieu of flowers make donations to Greyhound Placement Service Augusta, Maine.
