Obituary of Ferne I. Keller
PALERMO -- On June 10, 2013, Ferne I. Keller left the loving arms of her family and was welcomed into those of Jesus her Savior.
Ferne was born in Palermo, Nov. 16, 1922. She lived there the majority of her 90 years. On Nov. 28, 1938, she married Herbert Keller and began raising a family, the members of which she was very proud.
Everyone who met her was drawn in by her smile and the twinkle in her eyes. She stayed active with many interests which included attending church, reading, puzzles, bluegrass music, gardening and knitting. She had a very sincere personal relationship with her Lord and Savior and lovingly shared his word.
She was predeceased by her parents, Maybelle and Winfred Brann; sister Stella Dyer; brothers Ralph and Russell Brann; her husband, Herbert; a son, Donald; a daughter, Hazel McCaslin; grandsons Dave and Chad McCaslin; and son-in-law Bernard Saban. She is survived by daughters Nancy Saban, Linda Thompson and husband Shelton, and Hilda Randall and husband Leslie; sons Dennis and wife Miriam, and Paul and wife Sandy; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends she thought of as family.
Services for Ferne will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Palermo Christian Church, 322 Branch Mills Road, Palermo.
