Obituary of Ricky E. Woods

RICKY E. WOODS, 50, passed away unexpectedly July 10, 2013 in Belfast. He was born December 19, 1962 in Belfast, the son of Ed and Elaine (Jackson) Woods. Ricky graduated from Belfast Area High School, EMCC and Bangor Community College. He worked many years as a cook at Tall Pines. For the past 10 years, he has been employed at Mathew Brothers in Belfast. Rick was an avid Boston sports fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing and having a good time with his family and friends. He is predeceased by his mother, Elaine LaCombe and his great-aunt Jean Cunningham. Rick is survived by his father and step-mother, Ed and Diane Woods of Belfast; his sister Kim Elkins and her husband Baxter of Hampden, his brothers Josh Woods and his wife Katie of Winslow and Jake Woods of Belfast, his step-sister Amanda Ackley of Philadelphia. He also leaves behind his maternal grandparents, Albert and Ruth Jackson of Morrill, his nieces and nephew, Abigail, Madison and Jackson Elkins of Hampden and Ava Woods of Winslow, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 17 at 3 p.m. in Morrill Village Cemetery where his remains will be laid to rest with his mother.
