Obituary of Leslie Pillsbury LeBlanc

LESLIE PILLSBURY LeBLANC, 85 of Belmont, died peacefully July 16, 2013 in Belfast. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 28, 1928. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Joseph and Rose (Pillsbury) LeBlanc and his loving wife of 48 years, Molly Barter LeBlanc. Les was educated in Camden schools and was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was a Maine State trooper for six years and then became a radio broadcast engineer. In 1962 he married Molly Barter and shortly thereafter, they made their home in New Hampshire where Les worked for over 20 years at WKXL in Concord. He also was a greeter at Sam’s Club in Concord for several years after he retired from the radio station. He and Molly loved traveling the country in their motor home. Leslie is survived by his daughter, Virginia Bara and her husband Steve of Freedom; a son Joseph LeBlanc and his wife Linda of Greenwood Delaware; a son Les LeBlanc Jr. of China, ME; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and countless friends. Our “Dear old Dad” as he liked to be referred to, will be missed for his sense of humor, wisdom and his stories of growing up on “the farm” in Lincolnville.
