Obituary of Elizabeth Perepchuk Dewey
BAR HARBOR — Elizabeth Perepchuk Dewey, 47, died peacefully Aug. 16, 2013, at Birch Bay Village, Bar Harbor. She was born Dec. 1, 1965, in New Jersey, the daughter of Elizabeth and William M. Perepchuk.
Elizabeth graduated from Kinnelon High School, Kinnelon, N.J. Elizabeth loved life; she was always helping other people. She worked at Mount Desert Island Hospital for many years. Her family was utmost, being such a caring mother and grandma. After Elizabeth’s mother passed, she was the one that wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps by carrying on family traditions for her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas was her favorite time of year. She LOVED Disney, visiting many times with her siblings and family. It was magical time for her while she was there. She also loved travel and camping and most of all loved being at the Jersey Shore with her mother, father and all the siblings who used to visit her down at the shore.
Elizabeth is survived by her father, William M Perepchuk and wife of Melbourne, Fla.; grandmother, Sally Perepchuk; sister, Bonnie Jean Rose of Avon, Conn.; brothers, Brian Perepchuk of Franklin, and William J Perepchuk and wife of Hancock. Elizabeth has two children, Amanda Gove of Sedgwick and Michael Dewey of Bar Harbor; two grandchildren, Cole Dewey, and Jordan Gove, both of Sedgwick; uncles, John Perepchuk of New Jersey, Don Perepchuk of Oregon; nephew, Eben Perepchuk of Franklin, as well as many other nieces, nephews and aunts.
A graveside service is planned at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug 24, 2013, at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor, followed by a “Remembering Beth Time” in the main dining room at Birch Bay Village, Bar Harbor, located off the Crooked Road, from Route 3, between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. All are welcome to share stories and express condolences. You are being asked to wear something purple for any of these functions as this was Elizabeth’s favorite color. If you do not have something purple, little ribbons with white and purple will be supplied for guests.
