Obituary of Ralph Marston

Ralph Marston, 91 of Camden Maine died unexpectedly on Aug. 20, 2013 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockland Maine. He was born in Rockland Me to Charles and Alice (Small) on Sept. 12, 1921. He graduated from Rockport High School in 1940. He served in the US Army during WWII as a tank commander in Germany. He married Hazel Dearborn on Oct. 31, 1942. He worked as a carpenter for many years and retired from Camden Health Care Center where he worked in the maintenance department. He was a life time member of the Rockport Fire Department where he held several different offices including Fire Chief. He was a avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by 3 Daughters: Shirley Beal and Fiance Harold Dow of Corinth, Mary Grover of Sabattus, and Barbara Marston of Gray; 3 Grandchildren: Donald Welch and his wife Amanda of Calhoun, GA, Jason Grover and wife Susana of Bristol RI, Angela Grover and Fiance Cliff Conway of New Gloucester, ME; 4 Great Grandchildren, Nicholas and Sebastian Grover and Destiny and Ayden Welch. He is also survived by a Sister, Helen Chater of Camden and a Brother Kenneth Marston and wife Julie of Leesburg FL and Union ME, and several Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by his Wife, Hazel. Brother, Maurice Marston and Sister, Beatrice Phillips. Private funeral services will be held at a later date.
